FReeza Push Start Battle of the Bands competition showcases young musicians from across Victoria, giving them the opportunity to perform, gain local exposure, and win their way to a spot on the Push Over festival line up. Regional heats are being held at five Yarra Ranges venues from June to August, with the winners going on to compete in Regional Finals.
Last years winner Alkali Fly stunned the audience with his inspirational quasi acoustic music and has gone onto feature in Triple J’s Unearthed. Entries are open to hard-core, indie, folk, punk, metal, hip hop and funk etc... Solo, groups and bands welcome. More info at freeza.vic.gov.au

Lynne Lindsay, Glenn England, Jenny Rowe, Babette Bruders, Sharon Twining, Amanda Christians, Juliet Widdows, Rosie Hughes, Lee Goller, Julie Ayton present a highly engaging and interactive exhibtion of 2D and 3D works.
A central table setting is to be the focus of this exhibition, with paper napkins, tablecloth and placemats on which conversations between the artists and visitors are recorded. Artists will contribute to the table settings with a variety of ceramic tableware.

Spirit Guide Drawing with Carol McConnell

Come to a friendly afternoon of spirit guide drawing with Carol McConnell.
By incorporating meditation and aura soma colour therapy tools to help you get in touch with your inner guides and angels. 
Carol teaches a simple technique of drawing that is easy to follow, is fun and will assist you on your inner journey. 
This workshop is very calming and provides a safe space for healing and you'll be amazed by your creative abilities.
There is no previous drawing experience necessary and all materials are provided. The duration is 3 hours and includes afternoon tea. Please book in early as there is limited space available.

Music Lessons the Fun Way

These 4 classes are created to kick start your Harmonious Melodies regular music lessons.

Classes are run by studio musician and qualified teacher, Nicole Rizio. Nicole applies traditional music techniques to her Piano Accordion, Flute and Violin classes. For those looking for a unique approach to learning Piano, try Nicole’s ‘Simply Music Piano’ lessons. You can learn more about Nicole’s classes at www.harmoniousmelodies.com.au.

Materials will be available to hire or purchase but you will need to provide your own musical instrument.

The music lessons will run at Burrinja’s Studio 6. Classes comprise of a 4 week block of 30min lessons for a total cost of $100* per student. Group classes available, for further details contact Nicole on harmoniousmelodies@hotmail.com or 0417 844 590.

On completion of the 4 classes you can choose to continue your music lessons by booking directly with Harmonious Melodies at the $120 regular rate.
