CANTERBURY FAIRE
As the Day of the Faire approaches, excitement is building over the fun events planned for the morning of Friday, October 21. There will be a bouncy house, a clown making balloon animals, face painting, fun booths and games to play, and even a horseback ride on a gentle horse named Silencio. It will all take place in the field across from Christ Church! Students may come dressed in costumes:  Bible characters, Medieval and Renaissance characters, or any other costume that is not scary. We will have early release at 11:45 for all students except those staying for Extended Care.

If you haven’t turned in your family shield, please pick one up from your child’s teacher or from the front office. Have fun designing and creating your family shield to hang in our school foyer. We would like to have them by this Friday to display them before the Faire.

Delicious bake-sale items will also be available for purchase that day. If you would like to donate an item to the bake sale, please drop it off on Thursday afternoon or early Friday morning. Take some goodies home for the weekend!

Lunch will be available for purchase at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 21, at the end of Canterbury Faire. The cost is $5 per person and, for children, will consist of a hot dog, chips, grapes and water. For adults the lunch will be a sausage wrap, chips, grapes and water.

Later this week your child’s homeroom teacher will send home two forms for you to fill out and return by Wednesday, October 19. One will be a waiver of liability for the horseback ride. Everyone will be required to have a signed waiver on file and will be required to wear the helmet provided in order to ride Silencio. The other form will be an order form for the lunch. Please return this with a check or cash to cover the cost of the lunch. You may send a sack lunch for your child if you wish.
PUMPKIN PATCH
We will all be walking to the Pumpkin Patch at First United Methodist Church this Friday, October 14, leaving CCS at 8:50. Students will listen to stories, do arts and crafts, and explore the pumpkins and gourds.  Parents are invited to walk with us and enjoy the fun!

SPIRIT NIGHT
Our very own school family, the Dents, are sponsoring our next Spirit Night FUNdraiser at their restaurant, Wings, Pizza 'N Things. You will find them close to the Hobby Lobby in Temple. Join us there on Thursday, October 20, between 5-7pm. Support our school by enjoying a great meal in the company of school friends.  See you there!
