From The Penthouse To The Doghouse
We have a dog. A Guide Dog Puppy named Ice who my wife has been training for almost a year.
I didn't name him..........obviously.
(Be a bit weird calling out to a dog "Fetch the stick, Brendon's The Greatest.")
Anyway, Ice was set for a pretty sweet life. He was going to be a breeder - shagging all day, then eating and sleeping. Repeat the next day. And the day after that. Forever.
Kind of like a canine Shane Warne.
It was looking pretty rosy for Ice until the very last test - a hip x-ray - found his hips were 99.999999999% perfect. But not 100%
(Apparently you need good hips if you're "on the job" all day, every day.)
Should Have Asked For A Second Opinion
That day it was decided that Ice would have his boys/balls/testicles cut off and he'd be sent off to work every day for the rest of his life.
Ice should have asked for a second opinion I reckon. A case of from the Penthouse to the Doghouse figuratively and literally.

Little things really matter in a dog's life and in business.
Attention To Detail Demo
We have a restaurant client (Allure on Currumbin - if you're on the Gold Coast you gotta check it out) and we suggested their email address be: dine@allureoncurrumbin.com.au.
Makes sense, right? A nice touch. Demonstrates a bit of attention to detail.
A resort client's email address is stay@arubaresort.com.au. Obvious. Clever. Memorable and suggestive.
Here's the big thing about little things in business.
They aren't really little things at all. They're bloody enormous things to some people.
-
We have one client who just about has a stroke if she seas a typo - Hahahahahahahahaha, just kidding Amanda! (Gonna be awkward though if that gets the blood vessels bursting!)
-
Being a few minutes late drives many people crazy.
-
Another client refused to interview a guy for an amazing job because his email address was something stupid like "imabloodysexmachineohyeh@hotmail.com"
Little things matter in business and they matter a lot.
They can be the difference between that dream gig and struggling to put food on the table.
Are your "little things" neat and tidy?
Cheers
Brendon Sinclair

Shades of Inspiration
I just found a brilliant example of some very smart marketing.
Marketing is about getting your message to your target market - breaking through the everyday clutter.
This does that.
Check out this very nice example (it's a video).
