Please can I introduce you to a wonderful, talented young artist called Leddra Chapman.
She represents a new, emerging trend amongst artists who are determined to remain independent and build their career the way they want, without constraints or interference. However, what separates Leddra from the merely aspirational, is that she is already well on her way to acheiving it.
Firstly, she is not signed to any label, in the traditional sense. Her album is financed by a group of investors called "Ice Breaker", who fund independent artists.
Secondly, she was discovered on MySpace by Quiksilver clothing and quickly signed up as an Ambassador. Again, it is an example of how smart, forward thinking artists, refusing traditional Record Label funding, are finding new ways to get their music heard. Finally, and most importantly, is the music itself. Leddra writes, sings and plays on her records. Terry Wogan is now playing "Story" on a regular basis. Since very little is known about her at this point we hope some of your readers will be curious to know more information about her.
