Day 4 - Caribbean
Countries: Cuba, Jamaica, Trinidad, Tobago and St. Lucia
Date entered by ABWE as a mission field: 1999
Major ABWE ministries: Leadership training, theological education, church planting, youth and children's ministries
CARIBBEAN – Gary and Marty Crawford
-
Gary and Marty will begin serving as regional administrator for the Caribbean and Central America on Jan. 1, 2012. Gary and Marty were appointed by ABWE in July 2004 to serve in Jamaica with GAP.
-
The Crawfords had the privilege of leading more than 50 short-term mission teams to Jamaica, Haiti, St. Lucia and southeast Asia.
-
Most recently, the Crawfords were used by God to promote and develop a partnership between Crossroads Fellowship of Indiana and the Independent Association of Baptist Churches in Jamaica.
ST. LUCIA – Peter and Bibiana Morgan
-
Peter and Bibiana returned to their native island as ABWE missionaries after training in the U.S. in 1985. In their first term of service, they planted three Baptist churches and built a relationship with the Association of Baptist Churches (ABC).
-
The vision for St. Lucia is to establish a ministry center, in cooperation with the ABC network, which would greatly enhance the growth of the Baptist community on the island.
-
The Morgans began their second term of service in April 2011. A team from Trinity Baptist Church of Indianapolis visited in July to help conduct Vacation Bible School for the youth of Saint Lucia.
-
Pray for a ministry center and building for the Dugard Community Baptist Church.
ST. THOMAS – Rich and Jo Ann Davis
-
The Lord has opened the door for Rich and Jo Ann to assume the temporary role as president of the Blue Water Bible College on St. Thomas.
-
The Davises will step away from serving as regional administrator for the Caribbean, Central America and Mexico (CCAM) at the end of this year. Pray for the newly appointed couple that will take the role.
