Guay Family - Missionaries in Thailand
Dear Friends,

We just posted our latest prayer letter.  You can view it in printable format at http://www.tenforthais.org/prayerletters/201107July.pdf.  We also have the plain text of it without pictures below.  Thank you for your prayers.

Richard & Kristi Guay

Dear Friends,

We are so grateful for each of you who pray for our ministry here. Often the work is difficult, but we know that “…with God all things are possible.” (Matt. 19:26) It is a comfort to us to know that we have so many prayer warriors lifting us up in prayer!

Our English classes continue to be a great way to share the Gospel with others. People are happy to listen to Bible lessons in exchange for free English classes. The teachers at the school say that the kids all love English class day the best! The prisoners also love the classes, and many seem to come to just hear the Bible lessons. Our classes at the church used to attract mostly children, but now we have a faithful group of adults. Some of them seem to be interested in Christianity. With all of them, we are forming friendships. God is using that to give good opportunities to witness to them. This past month we had a 4th of July party for our English students. Some of them brought their spouses. It was a great way to get to know them. Please pray for the students in the school, prison, and at the church to get saved.

Please pray for people who are hindered in becoming Christians. We know 2 teenagers who want to be saved, but their parents won’t allow them to be Christians. Some people feel that being a Christian would hinder their jobs since they are expected to bow to idols at work. Others are scared of what others will think of them if they get saved.

Yesterday at church, a man who has only been saved a few months said that when people see him pray before meals, that they ask him what he is doing. He said that is giving him chances to tell them about Jesus. His teenage daughter said that not bowing to idols at school is also causing others to ask questions. This has become an open door for her to be a witness for the Lord. Please pray for them and other Thai Christians as they daily face these situations. Imagine how difficult it would be to be the only Christian in your school, workplace, or even your home. It is hard for us Americans to imagine how it would feel to be the only one at work or school that does not bow to an idol. Thai Christians need us to pray for them to have courage to “stand alone” for God. Pray that they will be willing to follow God and do what is right even when it seem that they are the only ones following God. We long to see Thai people reaching their own people. Please pray for them to tell others the Gospel even when it is difficult!

Thank you for praying for our family. Our daughter, Marah, is at Oklahoma Baptist College now. We’re grateful she was able to find a job quickly! If you want to write her, her address is: Marah Guay, C/O Oklahoma Baptist College, 5517 NW 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73127. Thanks for praying for her!
Kristi has been to the new neurologist 3 times now. All the blood work has been normal. The doctor is not sure what is causing the neuropathy. She still is having quite a bit of pain. Please keep her in your prayers.

Thank you for making it possible for us to serve the Lord here through your prayers and support! God bless you!

Yours for Thailand,
Richard & Kristi Guay
