Registration Update | Friday, September 23, 2011
Hi everyone,
Registrations for the 2011 Houston Inline Marathon have been coming in over the past few weeks, and we thank those of you who have stepped up so far. But we need to hear from many more of you before the deadline next Tuesday (9/27) in order to move forward with this year's event. As you may recall from last week's newsletter, we must have a total of 150 registrations by then in order to continue.
Consider: there are currently about 500 subscribers to this newsletter, and nearly 900 followers of our Facebook Page, so there's absolutely no reason we can't reach 150 registrations by next Tuesday... but each and every one of you who wants to participate needs to actually go ahead and pull the trigger! Waiting only jeopardizes not only your opportunity to enjoy another Houston Inline Marathon, but everyone else's as well. Please don't wait any longer — register now, and ask your skating friends to join you.
We're very much looking forward to hosting our fifth annual marathon event for inline and quad skaters in downtown Houston, but we can't do it without one key ingredient: You. Don't let the world around us see another roadskating event dry up. Don't give them another reason to think that outdoor skating today is nothing more than the residue of some goofy old fad from the '90s. Prove that skating is still going strong, and that it deserves respect as both a lifetime fitness activity and a competitive sport! Sign up now, get your wheels on, and get ready to shine!!

Again, we couldn't do this without you — THANK YOU for your support! Skate on!
